Cookie policy
This page lists, completely, everything Petrol Price Map stores in your browser — there is nothing beyond what's listed below. For the broader picture of what we do and don't collect, see our privacy policy.
What we actually use: local storage, not cookies
Technically, none of what's below is a cookie in the strict sense — it's browser local storage, which never gets sent to our server automatically the way a cookie does. It only leaves your browser when a page you're already using needs it (e.g. sending your saved vehicle ID to look up your car's MPG). UK law (PECR) treats local storage the same as cookies for consent purposes, so we do too.

All five are set only when you actually use the feature they belong to — never on arrival, and never for tracking or advertising. Every one of them is what UK law calls “strictly necessary” for a feature you asked for, which is why they aren't gated behind the cookie banner's accept/reject choice the way an analytics or advertising cookie would be. All of them stay only in your browser and are gone as soon as you clear your browser's site data.
Push notifications
If you tap “Notify me” on a station page, your browser creates its own push subscription — a mechanism built into the browser itself, not a cookie, and not something we can create without you explicitly clicking that button and allowing notifications when your browser asks. You can remove it at any time from the same button, or from your browser's notification settings.
What we don't currently use
No analytics cookie and no advertising cookie runs on this site today. If either is switched on in future, it will only run after you actively accept the cookie banner — this page will be updated to list it, with the same level of detail, before that happens.
Third parties
Loading the map itself makes a direct request from your browser to tiles.openfreemap.org for map tiles, the same way any embedded map would — we don't control what that request logs at their end. No other third party receives a request directly from your browser on this site today.

Clear your browser's site data for petrolpricemap.com at any time to remove everything on this page instantly — there's no account to delete, because there isn't one.
