How these figures are worked out
Each figure is the average of every UK forecourt’s closing price that day, grouped by whether the forecourt is a supermarket’s or a motorway service area’s. “All forecourts” includes both. They are national averages: your nearest supermarket may be dearer than the independent down the road. They are recalculated every night; the date above is the day they describe.
